Buyers of hardware records
Who buys hardware engineering data: the buyers' own words
Updated
One listing asks for CAD assemblies, circuit designs and test results by name. Around it sit programmes that license company records in general and brokers that take them to AI labs.
Ask about my hardware record Most of the vendors we read leave the data with you, but the contract with each customer decides the rest. Tell us what the vault holds and we will reply about your own designs.
The listing that names hardware
Mercor's hardware listing says it is looking for engineering teams with native CAD vaults, and its scoping questions ask which CAD system and roughly how many assemblies, whether the company or its customers own the designs, and whether simulation or test results were kept.
Programmes that license company records
micro1 says it pays in full within 30 days of acceptance, typically $150K to over $2M; Polyshares says it is the buyer itself and typically pays $100K to $2M; Mode says a company's data could be worth $100K to $5M. Each of these names operating records rather than CAD.

Brokers and marketplaces
Maryah, FileYield, Grepped and License Your Data work on the seller's side: they review what a company holds and take it to AI labs, and License Your Data states a minimum bid of $50,000.
